New Prius MiniVan Coming Soon
Wednesday, October 20th, 2010For years now, there have been rumors about more versions of the Prius than the car we all know and love, but the rumors are finally becoming fact. According to the Hybrid Car blog, Toyota has announced that the Prius MPV will debut at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show in January. While Toyota isn’t being terribly specific about the new vehicle, they’ve tweeted that it will have, “more comfort, style, and versatility,” and it’s known that there will also be a broader back end with a vertical window (maybe this means a third row of seats?), a higher roof, and more space in general.
Don’t expect anything terribly new or flashy with regard to the propulsion system though. The Prius MPV will use the long-established Prius gas/electric hybrid system that has always been the staple of this line.
Even so, we’re looking forward to a (nuclear) family of Toyota Priuses (or is that Priusi?).
